Privacy Policy
We respect your privacy and handle your data with care.
📖Who we are
Momenta ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have. It applies to shopmomenta.com and any purchase or interaction you have with us.
For the purposes of UK and EU data protection law, Momenta is the data controller of your personal information. You can contact us any time at support@shopmomenta.com.
📋Information we collect
Depending on how you use our store, we may collect:
- Contact and order details — your name, email address, delivery and billing address, and phone number where provided.
- Payment information — processed securely by our payment providers. We do not store your full card details.
- Account information — where you create an account, such as your preferences and order history.
- Order and transaction information — the items you view, add to your cart, purchase, return or exchange.
- Communications — the information you include when you contact us, for example a support enquiry or review.
- Technical and usage information — your device, browser, IP address, and how you interact with our site, collected through cookies and similar technologies.
We collect this information directly from you when you order, create an account or contact us; automatically through cookies when you use our site; and from trusted third-party providers who help us operate the store.
🎯How and why we use it
Depending on how you interact with us, we use your information for the following purposes, each with its lawful basis:
- To fulfil your order — process payment, arrange delivery, handle returns and provide customer support. Basis: performance of our contract with you.
- To run and protect our business — prevent fraud, keep our site secure, and improve our products and service. Basis: our legitimate interests.
- To meet our legal obligations — such as keeping tax and transaction records. Basis: legal obligation.
- For marketing — to send you offers and updates, and show you relevant advertising, where you have agreed. Basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
🍪Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to run the site, remember your preferences, understand how the site is used, and (with your consent) for analytics and advertising. You can manage your preferences through our cookie banner, and control cookies through your browser settings.
🤝Who we share it with
We share personal information only where necessary, with carefully selected third-party providers who process it on our behalf and are required to keep it secure and use it only for the purposes we specify. These include providers for payment processing, order fulfilment and delivery, customer reviews, email and analytics. We may also disclose information where required by law, to protect our rights, or in connection with a business sale or transfer.
Where you have agreed, we also share limited information with advertising and measurement partners so we can understand how our advertising performs and show you more relevant ads. This can include identifiers such as your contact details and general location, along with actions you take on our site such as viewing a product or making a purchase, and is shared in hashed form where possible. These partners may use this information for their own purposes as well as ours. You can withdraw your consent at any time through our cookie preferences.
We do not sell your personal information for money. Some privacy laws, including in certain US states, treat sharing information with advertising partners for targeted advertising as a “sale” or “share”. Where those laws apply to you, you have the right to opt out — you can do so at any time through our cookie preferences, or by emailing us.
🌍International transfers
As we and our providers operate internationally, your information may be transferred to and processed in countries outside the UK or EEA. Where it is, we rely on recognised safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses, or transfer only to countries deemed to provide adequate protection.
🔒Retention and security
We keep your personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above — for example to fulfil your order, provide support, and meet legal, tax and accounting obligations — after which it is deleted or anonymised.
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please avoid sending sensitive information through insecure channels.
⚖️Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information; to object to or restrict certain processing; and to withdraw consent at any time. You can also opt out of marketing at any time using the unsubscribe link in our emails. To exercise any of these, email us at support@shopmomenta.com. We may need to verify your identity first, and we won't treat you differently for exercising your rights.
👶Children
Our store is not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of 16. If you believe a child has provided us with their information, please contact us and we will delete it.
📬Complaints, changes and contact
If you have a concern about how we handle your information, please contact us first and we'll do our best to put it right. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority — in the UK, that's the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll post the updated version here and change the "Last updated" date. For any privacy questions or to exercise your rights, email support@shopmomenta.com.
